Member to member free calls.

One of the great advantages of having local service from Farmers Mutual Telephone or Federated Telephone is the ability to call other members within the co-op for FREE if they also have service with Farmers Mutual Telephone or Federated Telephone. Remember to dial the number as a local call.

Fair pricing for all.

As a cooperative we strive to treat all members equally. We may not offer huge discounts off your first year of service like the big guys, but that's because we want to give all members the best deal possible EVERY DAY!

Local support.

As your local communications provider, we live and work alongside you - and that local customer service is something our competitors can't offer. We are able to give our members personal attention, faster response times and state-of-the-art technology at a fair price.

Money back.

We are owned by those we serve. Each year you will receive a Capital Credit Account Statement highlighting your capital credits that have been allocated. The balance on your statement is yours and over time this money will be paid to you!

911 Compliant.

In an emergency, 911 calls made from our landline served phones are immediately traced to a specific address, which can save time in a crisis.

Consumer Information
The Do Not Call Law was implemented in response to consumers' concerns regarding unwanted telemarketing calls. The National Do Not Call Registry, under the joint jurisdiction of the Federal Communications Commission and the Federal Trade Commission was implemented to assist consumers. The National Do Not Call Registry gives you a choice about whether to receive telemarketing calls at home. Most telemarketers should not call your number once it has been on the registry for 31 days. You can file a complaint if you receive unwanted calls from telemarketers to which the Do Not Call Registry applies.
The Federal Trade Commission can add you to the National Do Not Call registry online at www.donotcall.gov, or call 1-888-383-1222 from the phone number you would like to register. It is free to register your home or mobile phone.

Call Forwarding: This feature enables you to transfer incoming calls to another number of your choice.

Call Waiting: While on a call, a special tone alerts you to an incoming call. You can then place your current call on temporary hold and answer the new call.

Three-Way Calling: This feature allows you to add another call to an already established call.

Speed Calling 8: This allows you to store telephone numbers of those you frequently call, by dialing only one or two digits. Allows you to store up to eight numbers.

Speed Calling 30: This allows you to store telephone numbers of those you frequently call, by dialing only one or two digits. Allows you to store up to 30 numbers.

Voice Mail: Allows callers to leave messages for you when you are away from your phone or if the line is busy.

Premium Voice Mail with Email Notification: Allows callers to leave messages for you when you are away from your phone or if the line is busy. Receive up to 5 mailboxes for individual family members or employees. Voice mails are also delivered to your email for added convenience when you are away from home.

Selective Call Acceptance: This feature allows you to define a list of calling numbers that will be accepted. All other incoming calls will be rejected and will receive an announcement that the called party is not presently accepting calls.

Selective Call Rejection: This feature allows you to define a list of calling numbers that will be blocked. An incoming call from one of those numbers is rerouted to a recorded message and your phone does not ring.

Distinctive Ringing: This feature allows you set up a list of telephone numbers that you would like to ring in a short-long-short ringing pattern. This lets you know that someone special is calling. If you also have Call Waiting, you will hear a distinctive Call Waiting tone when someone on your list calls. All other calls will ring with a normal ringing pattern.

Selective Call Forwarding: With Selective Call Forwarding, you may program your phone to forward only those calls from a special list of numbers to another number. This screening feature will work on blocked calls.

Automatic Recall: Allows you to return the call you just missed. By dialing *69 this feature will tell you the last number that called. Either make note of the number to call later or simply press 1 and the call will be placed automatically for you. Auto Recall will not return blocked calls.

Automatic Callback: Allows you to dial a code to have your telephone continuously attempt to redial a busy number that you're trying to call. This feature is active for a maximum of 30 minutes. You may still make and receive other calls. When the line is free, you will be alerted with a distinctive ring and the call will be automatically made.

Caller ID - Name and Number: Caller ID allows you to see the phone number/name of callers before you answer your phone and may also save the number(s)/name(s) of several different callers, depending on the style of the caller ID box you have. “Caller ID service is susceptible to fraud known as Caller ID ‘spoofing.’ Disreputable persons can deliberately falsify the Caller ID number to disguise the identity of the caller. Congress is currently considering new laws to take action against spoofers. More information is available at www.fcc.gov. Search for ‘spoofing’.”

Toll Restriction With Pin: This feature allows you to restrict long distance calls on your line by adding a PIN number to your account. Only those people with the PIN number can make long distance calls.

Telemarketing Screening: This feature provides the subscriber with the ability to screen calls prior to terminating the call to the subscriber's line. It helps screen out telemarketers, polling services, auto dialers and other nuisance calls.
